Compass Fun Committee Leads the Way for the She.Is.Beautiful 5K/10K

On September 12, Santa Barbara once again comes together for one of our community’s most inspiring events—the annual She.Is.Beautiful 5K/10K. With its signature energy, encouragement, and celebration of women, movement, and community, the race brings participants of all ages and abilities to Santa Barbara’s beautiful waterfront.

This year, our Compass Fun Committee was thrilled to return to the starting line and, even more importantly, rally behind an organization doing meaningful work right here in our community: Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara.

More Than a Race

She.Is.Beautiful was created around the idea that movement has the power to move us forward physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In Santa Barbara, that mission extends far beyond race day through the event’s longtime partnership with Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara.

For our Compass team, participating has become about much more than logging 3.1 or 6.2 miles. It is an opportunity to come together as colleagues, friends, family members, and community supporters while helping provide local girls with programs designed to encourage confidence, curiosity, leadership, and strength.

Compass Takes the #1 Fundraising Spot

We are incredibly proud that the Compass Fun Committee finished as the #1 fundraising team for the 2026 She.Is.Beautiful Santa Barbara 5K/10K, marking the second consecutive year we’ve claimed the top spot. The team raised $2,302.13 for Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara. Every donation, large or small, helped get us there, and we are so grateful to our Compass family, clients, friends, and community members who supported the cause.

Those contributions translate directly into opportunities for local girls. According to Girls Inc., every $2,500 raised provides approximately 140 hours of the Girls Inc. Experience, supporting programs and mentorship that help girls develop the skills and confidence to be strong, smart, and bold.

That makes every mile—and every donation—especially meaningful.

Community Is at the Heart of Compass

The race may have a finish line, but our commitment to Santa Barbara does not.

One of the things we love most about being part of Compass is the opportunity to bring people together, have a little fun, and use that energy to support organizations making a genuine difference in our community.

We are grateful to everyone who ran, walked, cheered, donated, volunteered, and supported this year's She.Is.Beautiful event. Being the top fundraising team is an honor, but the real reward is knowing that together, we helped invest in the next generation of strong, smart, and bold young women.

We can't wait to lace up again next year.
