Ceremonial Groundbreaking Celebration: A Milestone for The Humane Campaign

On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Santa Barbara Humane proudly marked the official start of construction for its visionary new campus, the heart of The Humane Campaign. This special event celebrates the remarkable support and dedication that has brought this project to life.
This groundbreaking is a beacon of hope and healing for animals and families throughout Santa Barbara County. The new campus will welcome pets with thoughtfully designed spaces such as a Community Intake Center, Dog Behavior Center, spacious play yards, and a friendly West Entrance. These improvements will create a more caring, stress-free environment while expanding vital services for animals and their families.
With exciting additional phases planned, this transformative project promises to serve the community for generations, strengthening the bond between pets and people like never before.
